Artistic Director- Mad March Hare Theatre Company
Directing & Producing CV
Acting CV
I am the Artistic Director of Mad March Hare. I am a graduate of the University of Western Sydney's late Theatre Nepean, where I acquired a Bachelor of Performance. After taking some time away from the industry to get a Post Graduate Degree in Education and then snowboard in Canada for 2 years, I returned to Australia and founded Mad March Hare in 2011. My focus has been producing independently in theatres across Sydney ever since. As a producer, I have developed a strong reputation for bringing exciting, challenging productions to Sydney stages of an exceptional standard.
I have worked extensively as a director and actor for numerous theatre companies across Sydney: Ensemble Theatre, Griffin Theatre Company, National Theatre of Parramatta, Red Line Productions (Old Fitz Theatre), Outhouse Theatre Company, Bakehouse (KXT), Old 505 Theatre, Eclipse Productions, The New, Loud Mouth Theatre Company (Hobart), and The Actor's College of Theatre & Television (now AFTT). I also work as a regular tutor for Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) and Brent Street School of Performing Arts. Most recently I have been invited to work with students at the Actors Centre Australia, WAAPA and Excelsior College directing their graduation productions.
After 10 years, I have made the difficult decision to step down from producing. This is to give me more time to focus solely on my work as an actor and director. Whist I am no longer producing, I still work in, and am a strong advocate for the independent sector so don't hesitate to drop me a line if you are keen to collaborate on something awesome.
Much respect,
Claudia
